"Cultura" Pearls are glass-based "faux" pearls made in the Czech Republic. In many ways they may be considered more practical than genuine natural pearls because of their resistance to scratching and other surface damage, and the fact that they are not adversely affected by the use of hairsprays and perfumes, which can damage natural pearls.
