Winter Solstice Necklace

SCROLL DOWN FOR A LARGER PICTURE!
Another design from our friends at TierraCast! December 21 is the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. The theme of this three strand necklace reflects nature's spirits and Winter's cool, sometimes icy temperatures. Make the necklace as shown or use it as inspiration, incorporating other elements to make a piece that means the most to you!

Notes on the design:
- The assembly of the snowflake
pendant is comprised of the Victorian Bail, a 7.5mm jump ring, and a Large
Vine Briolette bail, which is the part that is actually inserted into
the pendant. Mimi would substitute another 7.5mm Round Jump Ring for the Large
Vine Briolette bail (and so delete the bail on the supply list & add another jump ring.)
- The Tree Spirit charm is hung from
4 Round Jump Rings, 2 of which surround a crystal bead on the stringing
wire, one that goes through the loop on the charm, and one that
connects them all together.
- A large number of crimps are used
to make an illusion style necklace. Mimi recommends using micro crimps
to surround most of the smaller beads and place them on the stringing material,
and use regular crimps only near larger beads and to attach the
stringing material to the clasp.
- The 5mm Daisy with 2 loops links are used randomly throughout the design to manage the multiple strands.
- Mimi cannot find where the 20mm Large Vine Links are used, maybe you can find them in the picture!
