Free First Class Shipping in the USA with minimum $15 product purchase
Shipments within the USA ~ Our primary shipping carrier is the US Postal Service. In the US we ship via 1st Class Mail (free with minimum purchase) Priority Mail or Express Mail. UPS Ground service is also available at customer's request for US deliveries. All in-US shipments include delivery confirmation or tracking. See chart below.
Outside the US we ship via AirMail LetterPost, Global Priority or Global Express Mail. Global Express is fully tracked and Global Priority is tracked on the customs number. Different rules apply to different countries. If a customer selects a mail service that is not available to their country, we will ship using the best method available and refund any difference. Some countries do not accept Global Priority (such as Italy) so we send parcels to those countries via AirMail LetterPost. In such cases, a reduced shipping charge will be calculated and any excess charge will be refunded. See chart below.
Business Day Shipping ~ We do not ship on weekends or holidays. Customers are welcome to place orders on weekends and holidays. Shipping will begin the next business days. This includes Express shipments.
Signature at Delivery ~ On shipments of products of $250 or more and on all Express shipments the signature of an adult will be required at delivery. This is the requirement of insurance carriers and credit card processors. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Valid Delivery Address Required ~ Providing a valid delivery address is the responsibility of the Buyer ~ The shipping charges quoted are based on the assumption that a shipment will only need to be shipped once from our location. In the event a customer provides an undeliverable shipping address and the package is returned to us, the customer will need to provide both a corrected shipping address as well as an additional shipping charge to have their order re-shipped. Mimi's Gems is not responsible for the cost of shipping a second time when the customer provides an undeliverable shipping address with the original order.

* Due to the cost of postage, packaging & insurance, a small order handling charge of $3.50 applies to orders under $15. The $3.50 charge is actually less than the total cost of shipping a small package.
UPS Service ~ In addition to the methods shown above, US customers may also select UPS Ground for their shipment. Charges are based on the total value of the products ordered ~ $15 for purchases up to $250 and $20 for purchases above $250. We do not ship to Alaska via UPS for these prices. If a customer in Alaska wishes to choose UPS Ground, please inquire. We will need a $15 additional payment to ship UPS Ground to Alaska over and above the prices quoted.

Delivery Time Estimates ~ The delivery times shown above are ESTIMATES and include both estimated order processing time at our studio as well as in-transit time. International shipments are subject to customs delays in the customer's home country. These delays are beyond our control and are not included in the delivery estimates shown. Furthermore, any taxes or duties assessed by customs are the responsibility of the recipient. "Days" are "business days" and do not include weekends or holidays.
Insurance ~ All shipments are insured with the exception of any country or area for which shipping insurance is not available. We use a private shipping insurance company. Buyers in countries for which we cannot provide insurance may shop at their own risk, as we cannot guarantee delivery.
Shipping insurance is not available for shipments to the following countries, so shipments to them cannot be guaranteed: Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Bangladesh, Barbados, Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burma, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central Africa Republic, Cha, Congo, Dibouti, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Liberia, Malaysia, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Myanmar, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Poland, Romania, Rwanda, Senegal Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Yemen.
In addition, United States law prohibits us from shipping to the following countries: Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Syria and Yugoslavia.
Customs Duty Charges ~ The required customs declaration will be attached to all international shipments. The contents will be labeled as "merchandise" and will be valued according to the product total exclusive of shipping charges. Please do not ask us to undervalue or mis-represent the contents as this is a violation of US law as well as the laws of other countries and to do so would subject us to the risk of prosecution, fines and penalties.
Lost Packages ~ On very rare occasions, due to no fault on our part, packages never arrive at their destination. In such instances, we will reship your order after a period of time has elapsed (21 days for in-US shipments, 45 days for most International shipments, 60 days for Italy and some other countries) but prior to any re-shipment we will require you to sign, date and return a letter or fax (an email will not suffice as a valid signature is required) after the required time has passed confirming that your package indeed was never received. We require this so that we can be reimbursed by our insurance company. If we do not receive this signed confirmation back from you, we must charge you for the replacement shipment.
